The Vegan Curator: Faux Furs with a Modern Twist

Earlier this year, the autumn–winter 2025 shows featured an abundance of fur. And while the vegan fashion industry has already developed some brilliant fur alternatives that involve no killing whatsoever — and is, in fact, known for its bold cuts and vibrant colour combinations — we did freak out to see the return of the so-called “natural fur” aesthetic (to put it mildly).

So, to celebrate Poland — where we are based — voting to ban fur farming by 2033, and Condé Nast finally banning fur across its titles after decades of protests, allow us to present a selection of vegan fashion brands creating faux fur with truly contemporary aesthetics that go far beyond this unsettling “natural fur” trend.

We also encourage you to explore our Vegan Fashion Directory, where you’ll find coats, jackets, and fur alternatives — particularly from brands utilising recycled fibres and next-generation, low-impact materials.

You’re all welcome.
