VFR’s Vegan Fashion Directory Update: December 2025

At Vegan Fashion Repository, we update the Directory every month to stay on top of developments across the vegan fashion sector.

This December marks our final update of 2025—and a moment of renewal. To close the year with a clean slate, we’ve upgraded the Fashion Brands Directory to a new version, making it easier to browse, search, and apply filters. As part of this broader clean-up, we also reviewed our Vegan Online Multi-Brand Stores Directory, updating existing listings, adding new ones, and—unfortunately—identifying fashion brands that are no longer active.

On a more celebratory note, with the festive season approaching, this update turns towards special occasions. We’ve introduced a new category to the Fashion Brands Directory—Evening Wear, Shoes & Accessories—and added five new vegan fashion brands that have everyone covered when it’s party time.

Here are the new Vegan Fashion Directory additions for December 2025:

Category: jewellery, evening accessories

BLOOMTINE is a London-based jewellery brand creating seasonless, sustainably crafted pieces using lab-grown diamonds, moissanite, and sterling silver. Each piece is handmade by specialised artisans in Hatton Garden and Thailand. BLOOMTINE’s collections are stocked globally at retailers including Wolf & Badger, Immaculate Vegan, and Oxygen Boutique.

Category: footwear, high heels

Born from the desire to make high heels both beautiful and as comfortable as possible, Cheetah Stories partnered with a historic Italian shoemaker to craft its vegan Cheelettos using advanced, bio-based materials and a uniquely engineered footbed. Designed in Switzerland and produced in Italy.

Category: womenswear, bridal

Edwina O’Gorman is Ireland’s leading bridal designer, creating cruelty-free couture inspired by the wild beauty of the country’s west coast. Since 2011, she has crafted gowns as wearable works of art—ethereal, nature-driven, and entirely free from animal-derived materials. For every gown sold, O’Gorman plants a native Irish tree as part of her Forest of Love initiative.

Category: footwear & shoes accessories, men’s dress shoes, socks, wallets & cardholders

Founded in India by Bhaveen A. Doshi, Lusso Lifestyle creates vegan dress shoes crafted from advanced, high-quality microfibres, designed to mimic the look and feel of animal leather—minus the cruelty. The flagship store in Mumbai is conceived as a luxury experience space for this emerging yet robust category of men’s vegan luxury dress shoes.

Category: menswear, eveningwear (suits), small accessories

Vegan Tailoring by King & Allen is a UK brand creating made-to-order men’s suits from innovative vegan textiles, such as soft bamboo and an eco cloth woven from 100% recycled PET bottles. All suits are made from scratch, with no stock held, meaning production waste is kept to an absolute minimum.

This month, we also added six stores to our Vegan Online Multi-Brand Stores Directory:

NEW WORLD GUARDIANS is an Austria-based vegan marketplace founded in 2022. New World Guardians curates high-quality, cruelty-free brands across clothing, footwear, and accessories. Every purchase supports New World Guardians Aid Projects. Awarded with the PETA Vegan Fashion Award 2025.

VEGA-LIFE is a pioneering Dutch vegan retailer founded in 1998, offering one of Europe’s most comprehensive selections of cruelty-free fashion and lifestyle products. From footwear and clothing to beauty, home, and food, Vega-Life curates brands that are free from animal ingredients, never tested on animals, and produced with attention to fair working conditions.

Vegan Chic is a US-based vegan fashion retailer founded in 2011, offering cruelty-free shoes, bags, and accessories for women, men, and children.

Vegan Scene is a US-based, 100% vegan and eco-conscious fashion boutique founded in 2014 in Venice, California by activist and entrepreneur Amy Rebecca Wilde. Vegan Scene blends “activism via commerce” with accessible, luxe vegan fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products. Alongside its curated retail offering, Vegan Scene operates its own label, Legends & Vibes, producing items from innovative animal-free materials and repurposed textiles.

VEGAN Standard Japan is a Japan-based retailer specialising in ethical, vegan footwear and accessories for a unisex audience. Vegan Standard Japan offers vegan leather shoes and belts and serves as the official Japanese distributor of brands such as Will’s Vegan Store.

Zebra Vegan Shop is a French vegan fashion retailer founded in 2019 by Cyrielle, driven by a lifelong commitment to animal welfare and ethical consumption. The platform curates shoes, bags, and accessories for women and men, exclusively from PETA-certified vegan brands with a strong focus on European manufacturing, transparency, and responsible materials.

CHANGES & GOODBYES

As part of our end-of-year review, we took a close look at the brands listed in our Directory and, sadly, identified a significant number that have ceased operations or remained unresponsive for an extended period: Acherla, COVERME, Della Terra Shoes, Humans Are Vain, Kat Mendenhall Boots, Kibou, Lasclay, Nine Lives Motorwear, Olsenhaus, Open Plan, SMK, Spicer Bags, Taylor + Thomas, Veerah, and Vegan and Smart.

Several brands were removed due to changes in material use that no longer align with our criteria. MATI began using wool; Moonray (now rebranded as Chorus) introduced wool and silk; and Remedy incorporated wool and leather into its collections.

We also bid a temporary good-bye to Mantis World, as it operates as a wholesale-only brand, while our Fashion Brands Directory currently focuses on B2C labels.

Two brands were reclassified and moved to our Vegetarian Brands Directory: Try Kind, due to the use of upcycled sari textiles that may contain silk, and Kings of Indigo, following the introduction of recycled wool into its collections.

Some brands are currently in a period of pause or restructuring. Muroexe, Pudus, Rahui London, and Von D Land remain visible on our Global Vegan Fashion Brands Map but have not yet been added to the new Fashion Brands Directory. We are closely following their progress and look forward to welcoming them back once their renewal details are confirmed.

On the retail side, the vegan online multi-brand store Shop Like You Give a Damn has ceased operations. Meanwhile, Seventh Vegan was moved from the multi-brand stores section to theFashion Brands Directory,, as it now exclusively offers its own belt collections.

Here are the numbers at the very end of 2025:
403 fashion brands (including 4 currently on pause), 15 online multi-brand stores, 167 fabrics, textiles & chemicals, and 42 certification schemes.

Looking back on this year—our very first—we’ve witnessed both a significant number of brands closing their doors and an inspiring wave of developments in material innovation and brands that are genuinely pushing vegan fashion forward.

We look forward to seeing how it all evolves in 2026!
