March is widely recognised as Women’s Month, with International Women’s Day at its centre. Inspired by the occasion, this month’s update highlights eight vegan fashion brands creating apparel, shoes, and accessories for women—many of which are also founded or led by women.
From everyday wardrobe staples to footwear and accessories, these brands pair animal-free design with thoughtful and innovative approaches to materials and production. Many operate on a smaller scale, producing locally or in limited quantities. Together, they offer a snapshot of the diverse approaches shaping vegan fashion today.

DELIKATE RAYNE (USA)

Founded by sisters, Meg and Komie, Delikate Rayne produces contemporary apparel and lifestyle pieces in limited quantities or made-to-order series, reflecting a slow fashion approach aligned with zero-waste principles. Delikate Rayne works with innovative vegan textiles and focuses on seasonless designs characterized by clean lines and asymmetrical cuts, blending street style with a refined, modern aesthetic. Its collections are crafted in the U.S. with attention to ethical production, emphasizing cruelty-free materials and environmentally conscious practices.
KATRUSS (Singapore)

Katruss is a sustainable fashion brand established in 2022 that produces loungewear, sleepwear, and underwear for women using plant-based textiles. Its collections incorporate innovative natural fibers such as banana, aloe vera, lotus, rose, sugarcane, orange, and eucalyptus-derived fabrics. The brand focuses on lightweight, breathable garments designed for comfort, using azo-free dyes and emphasizing plant-based alternatives to conventional textiles.
LEGENDS & VIBES (USA)

Legends & Vibes is the in-house clothing line of Vegan Scene, based in Venice, California. The brand produces women’s apparel using vegan materials alongside vintage, repurposed, and recycled fabrics sourced locally. Its collections combine contemporary silhouettes with design elements inspired by Southern California style, and each piece is named after a street in Venice, California.
NENA VEGANA (USA)

Founded in 2022 by two best friends Reyna and Fernanda, Nena Vegana produces casual women’s apparel featuring bold graphics and messages designed to spark conversations about veganism and animal rights. Its collections focus on colorful, statement pieces that combine everyday wear with advocacy for animals.
REISTOR (India)
Category: womenswear, scarves, women’s outerwear
Reistor is a women’s apparel brand focused on minimalist, everyday clothing designed with lower environmental impact in mind. The brand works with biodegradable and plant-based fabrics such as hemp, linen, TENCEL™, Bemberg™, organic cotton, and modal, and uses home-compostable packaging. Part of its production takes place in community centres run by non-profit organisations that provide vocational training and fair-wage employment for women from underserved communities.
THÁLIA (UAE)

Thália is a Dubai-based vegan footwear brand that produces ballet flats, sandals, and heeled styles designed for women, inspired partly by Greek aesthetics. Shoes are handmade in small batches and made using synthetic vegan leather alternatives instead of animal leather. The materials used by the brand are certified under the PETA-Approved Vegan program, and the company partners with Tree-Nation to plant a tree for every order
TURF (Sweden)

Founded in 2023, Turf is a Swedish footwear brand producing vegan flats for women. The designs include styles such as ballet flats, Mary Janes, and penny loafers, developed with a focus on everyday wear. Shoes are designed in Sweden and handcrafted in Spain at a family-owned factory. Turf uses vegan materials including apple-based alternatives and recycled fibres, along with recycled rubber outsoles.
WILDA.ECO (Poland)

WILDA.ECO is a slow fashion brand based in the Wilda district of Poznań, Poland. The company produces women’s apparel — primarily tailored suits — through hyperlocal manufacturing, working with artisans in the same district where the brand operates. Its collections focus on minimalist garments designed for urban lifestyles and are made using plant-based and low-impact materials such as organic cotton, linen, TENCEL™ Lyocell, and Bemberg™, along with natural components like tagua and natural rubber. The brand allocates 1% of its revenue to social and humanitarian initiatives, including Médecins Sans Frontières and local community projects in Wilda.
